Start Learning Gourmet Wild Mushrooms focuses on many species that we consider “safe for beginners” to identify and cook with; experienced mushroom hunters are also sure to learn a lot from this in-depth course.  Throughout the year, you’ll learn the safety rules and the local edible mushrooms of the current season, from graphically designed course materials that feature clear explanations and stunning photography; meanwhile, through private emails, you’ll have personal assistance with your mushroom photos and questions (within reasonable numbers of course), from Ryan Bouchard, author of Gourmet Mushrooms of the Northeast 2019 and president of The Mushroom Hunting Foundation.  An email will inform you when new lessons are posted, and you can view them whenever it’s convenient.   Expect a mix of fascinating mushroom science, safety-oriented guidance, outdoor adventure, and unbelievable food experiences.  The diversity of mushroom colors, shapes, textures, and flavors is amazing; there are so many delicious species that are unique, unlike anything you’ve tried.
